Customer said that his hose was spraying water everywhere. Upon inspection, I noticed that the splitter adapter on the hose was not tightened down all the way I tightened it all the way and turn the water on to it to test it for leaks. There were no leaks at this time.
Performed furnace tune up. Changed filter, cleaned sensitive components, performed combustion analysis, tested system, all safety switches and limits are working properly at this time. Furnace is safe for use.
Arrived at the customers house, water heater is only 4 years old and is flushed every 9 months, only solution do to space would be a scale rx filter to help prevent the amount of calcium that enters the water heater or adding an additive in to help prevent the calcium from sticking, customer does not want to move forward at this time.
System making a noise on start up. Narrowed noise down to systems compressor. Took amp draw on system, found system to be exceeding the LRA on manufactures data plate during start up. Recommend adding soft start to system to help compressor on start up and for increased longevity of system. Left quote for soft start kit.
Installed new ecobee thermostat and add a wire, tested system, system is approximately 23 years old and in rough shape but is still operational at this time. System circuit board showing signs of corrosion and heat damage. Due to age and condition of equipment recommend replacement before failure.
Performed Top Rank Furnace Maintenance on the 12-year-old furnace, including cleaning the condensate P-trap and flame sensor and checking and tightening connections on the control board. Completed a combustion analysis, and all readings looked great; results were emailed to the homeowner. The homeowner had already replaced the air filter, and no further work is needed at this time.
The tank to bowl gasket for the toilet has failed and needs to be replaced. Part is ordered, we are returning Wednesday the 26th to repair the toilet. Upon arrival I removed the tank from the toilet and replaced the flush valve and seal.
