Operating furnace maintenance was completed on a one-year-old system. All components are functioning properly, and combustion analysis results will be attached to the invoice. Customer was concerned about an odor coming from the exhaust of the tankless water heater. On initial start up there was a small hint of gas but mostly combustion odors. I did not notice any natural gas odors while the system was running we could do a Combustion analysis to see if everything is running OK. I don’t think that is necessary at this time.
Performed furnace tune up, changed filter, cleaned sensitive components, found system to be leaking water from collector box and inducer assembly. Inducer motor also grinding, performed combustion analysis, tested system, system is approximately 17 years old and in rough condition, quoted repair. Due to age and condition recommend replacement. System is operational at this time.
